Turning breakthrough R&I to the market: Horizon Europe ERC Proof of Concept & EIC Transition

Il 7 luglio 2025 APRE (attraverso il Team tematico ERC) e Access2EIC – il network dei Punti di Contatto Nazionale EIC/EIE, organizzano, in modalità online dalle 10:00 alle 13:00, la seconda edizione (la prima si è tenuta nel 2023) del webinar “Turning breakthrough R&I to the market: Horizon Europe ERC Proof of Concept and EIC Transition“. L’evento si terrà in lingua inglese.

Le sovvenzioni ERC PoC mirano a facilitare l’esplorazione del potenziale di innovazione commerciale e sociale della ricerca finanziata dall’ERC e sono quindi disponibili solo per i Principal Investigators (PI) le cui proposte si basano in modo sostanziale sulla loro ricerca finanziata dall’ERC. L’EIC Transition ha l’obiettivo di convalidare e dimostrare la tecnologia e svilupparne la prontezza per il mercato, sostenendo la maturazione e la validazione sia in laboratorio che in ambienti reali. Le proposte devono basarsi sui risultati ottenuti da progetti EIC Pathfinder, FET Flagship, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe o ERC Proof of Concept.

I due strumenti vanno a supportare la ricerca e il conseguente sviluppo e validazione della tecnologia fino allo sviluppo di business model per la futura commercializzazione di innovazioni definite dirompenti.

Il webinar vede protagonisti i rappresentanti dell’ERCEA, l’Agenzia Esecutiva dello European Research Council e quelli dell’EISMEA, l’Agenzia Esecutiva del Consiglio Europeo per l’Innovazione e delle PMI.

The second edition of the online event (the first in 2023) will be held the 7th of July from 10:00 to 13:00 and will be an opportunity to present the ERC Proof of Concept and the EIC Transition scheme.

The ERC PoC Grants aim at facilitating exploration of the commercial and social innovation potential of ERC funded research and are therefore available only to PIs whose proposals draw substantially on their ERC funded research. EIC Transition aim to validate and demonstrate technology and develop is market readiness supporting maturation and validation in lab and real environment. Proposals must build on the results from EIC Pathfinder, FET Flagship, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe calls or ERC Proof of Concept projects.

The webinar, organized by APRE with the collaboration of Access2EIC, the network of the EIC/EIE National Contact Point, will be held by representative from ERCEA (ERC Executive Agency) and EISMEA (Eurpean Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency).
